Natural Zeaxanthin

piveg-mariz
Zeaxanthin (pronounced zee-uh-zan’-thin) is one of the most common naturally-occurring carotenoids and antioxidants found in nature. Numerous studies have found this antioxidant to be beneficial in eye health helping to prevent and treat a variety of eye diseases such as macular degeneration and cataracts. Zeaxanthin is the dominant component found within the central macula of the eye helping to moderate light energy and support the overall health of the macula. This carotenoid is most commonly found in plants, egg yolks, and animal fats thus giving them their rich yellow, orange, and red pigmentation. PIVEG extracts this natural pigment for application in the nutritional supplement, cosmetic, and pet health industries.
